The Association coopérative d’économie familiale (ACEF) du Sud-ˇOuest de Montréal is a consumer association that helps people with budget, debt and consumer rights issues.
Job title: Receptionist
Under the coordination responsibility, the work of the receptionist will be divided between the telephone reception with people in problematic financial situation (60%) and the administrative tasks (40%). The percentage is an average and can vary according to the requests and needs.
The tasks are:
. Ensure the reception and respond to requests for information from people living in problematic financial and consumption situations;
. Evaluate requests to direct calls to appropriate services internally or externally;
. Manage appointments calendars and activity registrations;
. Make data entry and any administrative work in support of activities;
. Participate in team and planning meetings;
. Do research on general issues;
. Participate and provide support in the organization of special events.
The professional skills:
. DEP or DEC in a field related to employment or equivalent work experience;
. Control of office software (Word and Excel);
. Good knowledge of French (spoken and written) and English (spoken);
. Basic knowledge of community organizations and popular education;
. Good listening;
. Good stress management;
. Relational skills with people in emergency situations;
. Good time management;
. Good ability to multitask
. Team spirit;
. Excellent organization;
. Punctuality and rigor;
. Autonomy and resourcefulness.
28 hours / week (Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm)
Hourly rate: $ 21.90 to $ 27.37 (base salary according to experience)
